Number one: That is adorable. Number two: I LOVE those... brushstrokes? I don't know, whatever gives it that painted look. (Not an artist) Number three: That looks like a really -- REALLY -- hard angle to draw a pony at. The head especially. BUT SO WORTH IT.
interesting use of the different bush types on the trees and bushes. Also great choice in the color shades; purples and greens, but neither being evil-colored hues. This posture makes me think about the eases of have a magical horn that would let me use telekinesis so that I could read in whatever position I wanted to, but not have to use my hands to hold the book.
The image is a great piece of work. Only, i don't think her hair on the left side of the image should bend like that; it's at the wrong angle. It also looks a bit flat . . .
Other than that, this is a fantastic work of art. good job.
Art is a conversation and learning art is even more so. I try to engage and discuss, post critiques on other's work (this is a great way to learn), and hop in any livestreams that come up. Just interaction in general. I've also been organizing the artist Q&A's that you may have seen posted occasionally. Those are great opportunities to pick the brains of prominent artists in the community.
I like the colors and the perspective on the face a lot! If I had to pick out a qualm I had, it would be that the trees in the far background are too wall-like. I think it would really improve the look of the picture if the trees got thinned out like a real grove. A minor note, that mane! Love it.
